| dcterms.abstract | Las manzanas del damero de Huamanga se dividían en cuatro solares, asignándose aquellos cercanos a la Plaza de Armas a los vecinos más distinguidos: es allí donde se gesta el tipo de la casona señorial huamanguina. La participación de alarifes del lugar dio lugar – orientados por maestros españoles – a un mestizaje constructivo y arquitectónico de lo mediterráneo y lo andino.
En la conferencia se ilustrará este tipo de vivienda virreinal en el contexto urbano, social y cultural huamanguino en base a diversos ejemplos del periodo inicial del virreinato y de la fundación de la ciudad.

| dcterms.abstract | The blocks of the checkerboard of Huamanga were divided into four lots, assigning those near to the Plaza de Armas to the most distinguished neighbors: it is there where the type of manor house of Huamanga is wrought. The participation of local builders gave rise – guided by Spanish masters – to a constructive and architectural miscegenation of the Mediterranean and the Andean.
The conference will illustrate this type of colonial housing in the Huamanguino urban, social and cultural context based on various examples from the initial period of the viceroyalty and the founding of the city.
